Castle Cary Museum and the Library Working Together

This event postponed to a later date due to new restrictions.

Come into the Market House on Tuesdays, 10.15-11.45, and you will find an exciting collection of museum artefacts and local history books to have a look at. Most of the books can be borrowed if you are a Library Member (and if you are not it is easy and free to become one).

New from Libraries West – Ancestry

If you have always thought about doing some family history research but never got around to it, now is the perfect time. Ancestry.com, which has previously only been available in libraries, is now available for you to use at home.

You just have to log in to Libraries West in the normal way and then you click on to the blue words “Access to Ancestry Library Edition” to open the software.

There are hours of fun to be had here!

Big Christmas

The Library played its part in this year’s Castle Cary and Ansford Big Christmas with a Book Sale in the Library itself – a good opportunity to attract people who might not have been in the building before.

Placard

As you can see, volunteering to support the library presents a wide range of opportunities! Well done to all those who worked hard to set up and host the event.

Book Sale in the Library

Best of all, we didn’t get wet – (those with long memories will recall the ingenious book shelter which provided a number of logistical challenges).

Scratch Band

Happy Christmas to all our helpers.”

Music and readings for a Summer Afternoon
